Désirée Saarela – Portfolio

Singer-songwriter and folk singer

Désirée Saarela is a Finland-Swedish folk singer-songwriter who creates music outside the box that connects to audiences on the deepest levels. The lyrics, stories and emotions within them form the core of her work, while her guitar playing—rooted in the folk traditions of bards around the globe—provides the foundation for her songs.

Saarela follows her own artistic path, expressing emotion, color, shadows and light through music. With nine albums already released, she performs both solo and with her band. Finland-Swedish folk at the crossroads of forest, sea and city; Saarela delivers a Nordic intimacy that stays with you.
